Bob’s 2017 Christmas message
Merry Christmas, Lisgar, Meadowvale and Streetsville!
It may have been a wet spring, but it was a wonderful summer. Our events, celebrations and festivals gave us all in Mississauga plenty of reasons to get together and celebrate. We saw one another at Celebration Square, Streetsville Square, Bread and Honey, Canada Day, Simcoe Day and throughout the good weather, well into autumn. Even the onset of the bad weather was delayed as our Canadian Sesquicentennial summer weather lingered through October.
We have much to be thankful for. To the generations before us for building the country we call home; to the families that pass along our values and traditions; to the volunteers, community leaders, and those who serve us in public service; to our friends and neighbours. Remember them all at Christmas time and New Year’s.
Remember to share our good times with those you know who may be alone, older, disadvantaged, or who may just need an invitation from a friend. At one time or another nearly all of us have walked in those shoes.
Thanks for the opportunity and privilege to continue to serve you.
